Unibloc acquires UK’s Flotronic Pumps

US positive displacement pump firm Unibloc Pump has bought Flotronic Pumps, a UK-based manufacturer of specialised, air operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps and accessories.
Founded in 1990, Flotronic Pumps invented the ‘One Nut’ AODD pump. The pioneering single bolt design reduces course of downtime by simplifying pump assembly/disassembly, offering savings in maintenance prices.
Unibloc Pump chief government officer Chris Stevens will join the Flotronic Pumps leadership staff as CEO.
Odd is an ideal hand-in-glove fit for Unibloc Pump,” mentioned Stevens. “Unibloc Pump and Flotronic Pumps are able to drive accelerated progress by offering clients products and solutions fueled by our passions for innovation, safety and ease in maintenance to keep away from downtime and increase efficiencies.”
“Important to this acquisition is that both firms share complementary market footprints,” said Flotronics owner Stuart Whitehouse. “The combination will allow Unibloc Pump to grow its UK and European enterprise, while also giving Flotronic Pumps an unmatched North American foothold. That should pay off in larger market coverage and elevated general worth delivered to the customer.”
