This is certainly one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders thus far. It can be the second LNG gas pump techniques order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has placed with Svanehøj within the last 12 months. In July 2021, Svanehøj signed a contract to supply deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15 000 TEU).
Svanehøj quadrupled gross sales of its patented deepwell gas pumps in 2021, and says there are heaps of indications that sales may increase even further in 2022.
“Until Sale ends soon , using LNG as a marine gas was limited to LNG carriers and smaller ships. But we are now seeing a sharp improve in gasoline pump orders for deep sea vessels such as container ships and automotive carriers,” stated Johnny Houmann, chief gross sales officer at Svanehøj. “We have been chosen as the provider of fuel pump systems for over 50% of the dual-fuel LNG container vessels ordered globally in 2020–21. And we purpose to extend our market share further within the coming years.”
